Identifying projects and funding resources to mitigate affordable housing is crucial. Assisted multi-family properties are eligible to apply to Florida DEM Hazard Mitigation Grant Program but are left out because of lack of staff coordination. This session will provide an overview of the HGMP funding, define process for working with the County Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) workgroup to define priority projects to submit for funding consideration. Experts will share insights and best practices from Enterprise Community Partners programs, discuss steps for improving coordination and examples of mitigation strategies for housing.
