Many residents often live near or drive by affordable housing without realizing the housing is affordable.  This is due to the attractive building design and landscaping. This session focuses on the critical role of design in addressing NIMBY opposition, as well as project feasibility, addressing resident needs, energy efficiency and sustainable operations. A panel of architects will share real examples of how design is utilized to address all of these issues and contribute to the successful development of housing that is affordable.
