Faith-based institutions often serve as centers for resources, activities and services aimed at meeting the needs of vulnerable populations, such as seniors and at-risk youth. These same institutions often have significant land holdings, if unlocked could serve as a key resource in addressing housing needs of those it already serves, transforming individual lives while driving economic development. This forum will highlight the work of faith-based organizations leading neighborhood revitalization efforts and other initiatives through housing that can serve as replicable models for other communities throughout the state, examples of how national partners are working faith-based institutions in Florida in affordable housing development.
